Ms. Richardson’s first important film role was Mary Shelley in Ken Russell’s Gothic, which also starred Gabriel Byrne, Julian Sands, and Timothy Spall.

Please keep her husband, Liam Neeson, their two sons, her mom, Vanessa Redgrave, and all of the amazing theatrical family which loved and supported her in your thoughts.

  1. Gabriel and Liam have been great friends from their early days in Dublin. Where was Gabriel during the memorial or the funeral? Nothing could br more important then to be there for his good friend. Any idea what happened?

    • We expect GB was off to vacation in the Dominican Republic (where he filmed “Christopher Columbus” many years ago) when this occurred. However, he may have been there. Several stories had conflicting lists of attendees at both the wake and the funeral. No way to know at this time.
