It gives me great pleasure to inform you that the premiere of the independent documentary Behind The Sword In The Stone has been set for Friday, December 20 in Bray, Co Wicklow, Ireland!

Alec Moore and Mark Wright, the team at Mossy Hare Productions (MHP Films), made the announcement this morning via email.

Please note: This is an invitation-only event. A USA premiere is being planned and information about this will be shared, of course.

What a journey this has been for Alec and Mark! And now they will see their film on the big screen in Ireland.

Congratulations to them and to all who have participated in the making of this documentary!

Supporting this film and watching it develop has been a lot of fun. Alec and Mark are an inspiration–they truly believe in what they are doing and their motto seems to be: “Never Give Up. Never Surrender!”

As one of the Executive Producers for this film, I hope to be able to attend the premiere in Ireland.

This is so exciting! I am jumping up and down out here in Far West Texas!

  1. Congratulations Stella. Your commitment to this independent film is an inspiration.

  2. Congratulations with the documentary.
It will be so interesting for the film history in Ireland to get the history of this movie discussed.

    Great Project!

I’m happy for you Stella because I know what this means to you.
    The poster is wonderful.

    Good luck!

  4. Thanks to all of you for your kind words! I am so excited I am jumping up and down. I promise to write a LONG posting about this trip and the premiere. And I’ll take lots of pictures so you can see Dublin. Nora–I won’t have time to take the “Gabriel Walk,” but I’ll be thinking of you when I am there.

Helping to make this film a reality has been a joy. I’ve done very little–Alec and Mark are the heroes in this story. I am looking forward to meeting them and to seeing their film.

PS. Mr. Byrne may or may not attend this event. I will let you know what happens. ;-)

  5. This documentary will be an important contribution to Irish film history. I admire Alec and Mark for working so hard with this documentary and I am happy that our “own” Stella is one of the executive producers.

I am sure you will love to be in Ireland Stella, it is a wonderful country. The fact that Gabriel is Irish makes the country even more interesting and exciting.

I loved to walk in “Gabriel’s footsteps” in Dublin city and in Walkinstown. People were really so kind everywhere, and when I talked to them about Gabriel I heard always nice things.

    • Thanks, Nora!

I am busy creating my itinerary. I will be meeting a friend who knows Dublin very well. Together, we will do some walking!

Of course I am so excited I just noticed that Thanksgiving is next week in the USA. I have to cook a turkey! LOL

I promise a picture-laden report when I return from Dublin.

Please stream it somewhere on the Internet. All the fans are waiting for it. I’d buy a DVD as well as soon one is available.
