Gabriel Byrne was a very busy man in 2011. Here is a video recollection of his activities and his accomplishments as Cultural Ambassador for Ireland and as the artist he will always be.

The video is also available in HD, so choose it if you prefer. Be sure to choose full screen for the optimal Byrne-ing effect.

Music is provided by the remarkable Martin Hayes and Dennis Cahill. Set your speakers to stun, folks!

We wish you well in all of your endeavors in the future, Mr. Byrne, and we look forward to seeing your shining face on the big screen in 2012.

Happy New Year! heart

What a year it was for Mr. Byrne, and, of course, all of us Byrneholics. The video is absolutely stunning – a wonderful tribute to The Man!!! The only thing that could improve it would be another 15 or 20 minutes or so…………………….

    • Thanks for dropping by! We have a smiley in the Forum called “THUD” which is used whenever discussing pictures of a certain gentleman. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. It was, of course, an absolute joy to make. Happy New Year to you!

  5. What a video, and what a man!
Here I see intelligence, commitment and a warm heart
beating to make the world a better place to live in.

Thanks to Gabriel for being such a wonderful person and thanks to Stella for showing that to us in so many ways!

    • Nora, Yes to the warm heart of Gabriel Byrne. You can see it in all those smiles when he is hanging out with government ministers, famous authors, world-class musicians, and just regular folks–he is present and happy to be so. I would be tired. He is energetic and apparently does not suffer from jet lag. I applaud him!
