I’m off to Dublin!

I’ll be in the air or sitting in an airport for about 20 hours and then Dublin! I arrive Thursday afternoon.

The premiere of the new documentary Behind The Sword In The Stone, about the making of the film Excalibur (1981), is set for 8:00 pm Friday, December 20, at the Mermaid Theatre in Bray, Co Wicklow.

As an Executive Producer of this documentary, I will attend the premiere, shake hands at last with the film-makers, Alec Moore and Mark Wright, meet whoever is there, and finally see the film!

And take pictures. Lots of pictures. I promise.

You can expect a report upon my return next week (sometime after Monday, December 23).

Go Dublin Go!

  1. I wish you a nice trip to Ireland, Stella. I am sure you will have a great time in that lovely country.
Good luck to the premiere of Behind the sword in the stone also.
I am looking forward to see the movie in the future, but before that it will be interesting to hear from our own reporter and excecutive producer: Stella

    • Thanks, Nora! I am headed to the airport now. Big storm brewing in Ireland so we shall see what happens to me…my next message may come from London where I will be sitting around hoping the rain stops. LOL

You know, being involved in this independent production has been a dream come true for me. And even though I’ve hardly done any work at all on it, I feel so proud to have been at least a small part of the process.

And now the premiere! So excited.

      More soon! :-)

  2. Stella, Have a wonderful trip. It takes a village to make a film , so don’t underestimate your role. BRAVO !

  3. Fly safe Stella. I was in Dublin 2 years ago. Don’t let the weather keep you from doing things. If your driving, have fun on those “roundabouts”. Enjoy!

  4. Stella, Can’t wait to see and hear all about the trip!!!!!

  5. Hi Stella. I hope you have a wonderful, wonderful trip, and maybe a little holiday. Hope the premiere is everything you could hope for. Stay safe.

  6. Stella, I hope you had the time of your life!

  7. I hope you are safe home from Ireland Stella.
I think it is bad weather in Ireland now so I hope that it has not made the travel difficult for you.

    Merry Christmas to everybody!

  8. I really like your style so much. And may the good times and treasures of the present become the golden memories of tomorrow. Wish you lots of love, joy and happiness. MERRY CHRISTMAS. !
