Many thanks to Lincoln Center for sharing the live stream with us! heart
Mr. Byrne is truly an “original”. And a mentor to many young actors. Will watch with interest.
You are so right, Angelle. This should be inspiring–and FUN!
Might be a little short for the first one, but should be able to make it to the second part :-)
Thank you so much for this Stella, you rock!
Ara, I think both videos will be archived and available later. The folks at Lincoln Center have been incredibly nice. It is so cool to be able to do this! :-)
Wow. What a phenomenal artist talk!
Extraordinary! So inspiring and enlightening, to listen to these two artists talk about their work. <3
Amazing conversation! Mr.Byrne’s a brilliant interlocutor, speaking about his profession drawing parallels with life situations familiar for everyone. He’s witty & incredibly Frank with his audience. Wish him new roles & realization all his projects. Thanks again Stella for this video <3
Did anyone record the live stream of this interview? Unless I’m somehow missing them, the archived version excludes several parts of particular interest to me, and if anyone has an unedited audio or video file of the original discussion, I’d love to get a copy. Will post an email address if anyone can help. Thanks!
To answer your questions, Anonymous:
1. The archived video is the same length as the original live stream.
2. The video cannot be downloaded. I’ve tried all of my usual methods, but they are blocked.
3. I *think* this may eventually be available on YouTube. I am attempting to find out now.
Actually, it’s possible to download it with an App for iPhone called Amerigo : I did it, it works, even if it takes a little time !
Of course, the video file is huge : 1,1 Go ! Difficult to share by email…
Thanks for the info. I do not have an iPhone. :-(
Thanks for sharing the link to this discussion.
It was such a joy to listen to Will Rogers and Gabriel Byrne talking about life and acting. I think it must be a very challenging thing to be an artist, searching for the truth. Actors have to use their body, mind and soul so they can express what is almost impossible to express.
The world needs artists that can be a light for us all in dark times.
And there will always be both light and darkness in the world. But we must fight for the light to be stronger than the dark.
Oh, I agree with you so much, Nora! Today especially. <3
