As a special holiday gift, Gabriel Byrne has another new film in the works!
The Hollywood Reporter broke this exclusive news:
Nathan Lane, Gabriel Byrne and William Moseley are joining Bel Powley in Carrie Pilby.
The film, which has begun principal photography in New York City, is an adaptation of Caren Lissner’s 2003 coming-of-age novel. It centers on Carrie (Diary of a Teenage Girl breakout star Powley), a 19-year-old genius who has just graduated from Harvard and has no idea how to fit in or socialize in life outside college.
Lane will play Carrie’s therapist Dr. Petrov (replacing Eddie Izzard, who was previously attached), while Byrne will portray Carrie’s father and William Moseley plays Cy, Carrie’s love interest. Jason Ritter, Vanessa Bayer and Colin O’Donoghue also are starring in the film.

Now this is very cool news indeed, but even cooler?
Susan Johnson will direct the indie, which has a script by Kara Holden. Suzanne Farwell, Susan Cartsonis and Brent Emery are producing.
Mr. Byrne is definitely helping to #WakeTheFeminists !

This sounds like an interesting movie, and Gabriel as the father sounds good.
I really enjoyed to see Gabriel as the father in Louder than bombs.
Thanks for sharing this good news Stella.
