  1. OMG ! Going there next week BUT fly out on Monday. Oh well, at least I’ve got great tickets for LDJIN on Sunday.

    • Angelle, you are going to have such an amazing time. This play is unforgettable and Mr. Byrne is a knock-out in it. So is everyone else, but…well…you know. <3

I would give a lot to head back to the Big Apple and support the IAC and be in the same room with all those wonderful actors, but I've burned my play money for this year. And I have absolutely no regrets about that, either. ;-)

Have fun in NYC! Take pictures! Tell us all about it!

Excited for you much? You bet I am!

Now don't tell anyone, but if you head over to the Little Cupcake Bake Shop in NoLita, Sal might give you a free cupcake when you tell him you came to see Gabriel Byrne in the play...

  2. I wish the Irish Arts Center every success with this fundraiser. It’s a great project – and a big challenge ! Infill development of a Heritage property is tough – but they are right to stay in such a historic area. I’m working on a similar project in my own
country which is finally under construction and I admire Mr. Byrne’s sustained commitment to this over many years. The hardest part is the planning and fundraising – so kudos to all those who have contributed to making it a reality. Mr. Byrne obviously recognises the value of arts education and forging links with the diaspora.

(and I can taste that cupcake already Stella!)

    • So nicely said, Angelle. I have been inspired to update the Causes and Charity page and now the IAC is at the top. When you listen to Mr. Byrne talk about the new Center and the reason it is so important, the building project takes on a completely new light, I think. I find his commitment inspiring. Of course.

Buy a t-shirt. The cupcake is pretty assured after that, I think! And they are wonderful–nothing like those cupcakes in my little town in Far West Texas! ;-)
