As previously reported, No Pay, Nudity will be heading to more US film festivals in September, which is great news! Even better news for us? The film has been picked up by a distributor that handles not only theatrical releases, but also DVD and streaming!

Variety announces:

Monterey Media has bought all U.S. and Canada rights to Lee Wilkof’s “No Pay, Nudity,” starring Gabriel Byrne, Nathan Lane and Frances Conroy.

The film, Wilkof’s directorial debut, is written by Ethan Sandler. Tani Cohen is the producer with Cliff Chenfeld and Seth Greenland executive producing.

“No Pay, Nudity” premiered in July at the Stony Brook Film Festival and won the Special Jury Prize Achievement in Filmmaking. The U.S. theatrical launch is planned for November.

Monterey Media offers an eclectic list of films, including A Light Beneath Their Feet, with Taryn Manning (!) and The Last Film Festival, with Dennis Hopper (!). Many of their films are independent productions, so this looks like a very good home for No Pay, Nudity.

Stay tuned for a new poster, and possibly a new trailer, coming soon!

In the meantime, celebrate!

I am sure this will be a very entertaining movie!
(But also serious thoughts behind the laughter, I think.)
