The international premiere of Gabriel Byrne’s new film, Death of a Ladies’ Man, for which he just received the Best Actor Film IFTA Award, will take place on July 21 at the 2021 Galway Film Fleadh. This film festival is a special place for Irish film and it is fitting that Death of a Ladies’ Man has its international premiere here.
The film will screen at the in person outdoor theater July 21 and will stream online July 21 – 25.
You can find more information and links to tickets at the film’s entry on the festival website.
As far as I can determine, only residents of the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland are eligible to purchase tickets to these online events. Boo! So those of us who are unlucky and live elsewhere must continue to wait for this amazing film.
In addition, there is an Actors Conversation with Gabriel Byrne scheduled for July 24. I have asked for more details on this streaming opportunity, because we may all be able to participate in this. Stand by for more details!
Sarah McIntyre at RTÉ Entertainment has a very informative article on this year’s Fleadh, so give it a look for more details and context for the festival.
Congratulations again to Gabriel Byrne on your IFTA Award! It’s so lovely to see your film coming home to Ireland now. heart
Yay! To my friends in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland! Take it from me – I have seen it three times. You will love it.
I envy you Angelle! I would have loved to see this movie three times, I am sure about that. I hope for a chance to see it in Norway.
And yes: Congratulations to Gabriel – again and of course!
Can’t wait to hopefully see this movie. Congrats to Mr. Byrne!
