It’s summer in the Northern Hemisphere and things are hot and getting hotter, especially now that the trailer for Gabriel Byrne’s new film, Lamborghini, has dropped! I am tempted to say “Zoom, zoom!” but I will resist. Ha! I can’t wait to see this movie. I love fast cars and the two Italians who made these fast cars. I was a Ferrari fan first, though, so I’m very happy that Gabriel is playing Enzo Ferrari, the maker of my favorite foreign fast car. From the trailer, you can see that Frank Grillo, portraying Ferruccio Lamborghini, is going to be perfect for the role. And the cars! Well. Check it out for yourself, but remember: it’s hot!

More Information

IMDB is lagging behind in updating their page for the film, but Wikipedia is on top of things, so you can read all of the details there.

TopSpeed.com has an in-depth article on the film:

After the cinematic success that was Ford V Ferrari, we car enthusiasts are about to get what is shaping up to be another epic recreation of a historical moment in the automotive industry. “Lamborghini: The Man Behind the Legend” will recreate the historical feud between Enzo Ferrari and Ferruccio Lamborghini. This pivotal moment led to the creation of Lamborghini’s first sports car and consequently, to one of the biggest rivalries in the automotive industry, one that we continue to witness today. Here’s what we managed to gather from the first movie trailer. . .

The movie plot is expected to span over a decade, tracing the rivalry between the two Italian constructors. We know this because, in the trailer, we see cars like the 1957 Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder, 1964 Lamborghini 350 GT, and a late-model Lamborghini Countach racing against a 1980 Ferrari Mondial. It wouldn’t be a proper movie about Lamborghini if they don’t include one of the most iconic supercars of all time – the Miura – which makes for an epic conclusion to the trailer, as you will see for yourselves.

There is no release date set at this time, but as the article notes, the film should be out sometime in 2023, if not sooner. So, we wait. Zoom, zoom! heart

  1. I’m not really a car woman, but this looks pretty good.

    • I AM a car woman and yes, this looks GREAT!

It’s an intriguing story of creative rivals probably more than it is a fast car movie, but I’m there for it. <3
