Oh look! A high-end promo shot of Gabriel Byrne by set photographer Ezra Olson, which he shared on Instagram:

Hero or no, you look commanding and slightly amused here, Sheriff, sir.

May 27

As I suspected, the trailer and poster I shared with you recently were not official. It was nice to have something related to this new Gabriel Byrne WESTERN (!), of course, but now we have everything (except the film itself and, sadly, some high-end promo shots of our (possibly not) heroic sheriff). However, let’s be happy with the cool new stuff while we (sigh) wait.

Besides, Murder at Yellowstone City hits screens of all kinds on June 24, so the wait is almost over!

From Collider Magazine

If you’re in need of a good ol’ western movie to get your nostalgic juices flowing, you’ll be glad to know that Murder at Yellowstone City is coming your way. The story mixes the classic, Golden Age Hollywood genre with a murder mystery and a star-studded cast. Centered around the titular Yellowstone City, the movie follows a sheriff that immediately accuses and imprisons a Black man after a local prospector is assassinated. As the murders progress, however, the city inhabitants quickly discover that everyone has something to hide.

The trailer for Murder at Yellowstone City suggests that the story is equal parts harrowing and action-packed, with the setting playing out almost like a horror film and characters describing the city as an “evil place”. And it certainly seems to be, with religion and violence walking hand in hand and a sheriff that clearly is abusing his power and dictating what goes during his investigation. . .

The star-studded cast features Gabriel Byrne (Hereditary), Thomas Jane (The Mist), Isaiah Mustafa (Shadow Hunters), Anna Camp (Pitch Perfect), Aimee Garcia (Lucifer), Emma Kenney (Shameless), Nat Wolff (Paper Towns), and Richard Dreyfuss (Jaws).

Murder at Yellowstone City premieres in theaters and on digital/on demand on June 24.

So, how wonderful is it to see Gabriel Byrne’s name first in the cast list for this film? This is a great cast and I’m so happy to see him headlining it.

Official Synopsis

The once peaceful and booming Yellowstone City has fallen on hard times, but when a local prospector strikes gold, things seem to be turning around. Any hope is soon shattered when the prospector is found dead and the Sheriff quickly arrests a mysterious newcomer. But nothing is so simple in this sleepy western town, and more than a few of the locals have secrets to keep and reasons to kill. As the brutal murders continue, pitting neighbor against neighbor, Yellowstone City goes down a bloody path to a final showdown that not all will survive.

The More Part

Well, a bunch of articles that were showing off the new trailer and poster also claimed to have new promotional images, but I did not see any. Not any including Gabriel Byrne, that is. So here. Have mirror images of the clearest and largest of the promotional stills we have of Mr. Byrne as the probably-evil-but-still-riveting Sheriff Ambrose, whose poor town is about to get all shot up!

Drop it or I’ll shoot!
I mean it!

Stay tuned for more, but there may not be much more. The film hits theaters and begins streaming on June 24! Hi Yo Montana! heart

HELLO My dear friends in these pages. I’m so late reading the important news from April. My P.C. was working so bad–I have to change this soon. Thanks Stella forever. Go on sending such magnificent news, all them incredible and wonderful news, like the moment that our Dear Gabriel impressed his hands in this special place. Really he is a winner by his trajectory, as a man and actor, ever dependable. He surprises us day by day and makes our admiration grow for him. THANKS Stella for the scenes of Walking with Ghosts. In the theatre, he is very emotive and graceful too. The scenes of Murder at Yellowstone City are excellent. Like Verónica said, perhaps some day we can see him in Argentina, talking about Walking with Ghosts. It will be wonderful for all of us to live this special moment. WHAT wonderful news to know that Murder at Yellowstone City may be able to be seen here too. I WAIT anxiously by this. We are waiting here for much more. THANKS FRIEND FOR ALL THIS NEWS! ALL MY FEELINGS!
